Representing the pinnacle of the Solar Type A1 series, this premium, feature-rich guitar was developed in collaboration with Tommy Vetterli, the guitarist for the iconic Swiss thrash metal act Coroner. It is designed to provide exceptional performance and a sophisticated aesthetic.

As the definitive instrument for Tommy Vetterli’s professional studio and live performances, this six-string Type A1.6 Coroner guitar features a distinct cutaway scoop and a stealthy appearance. The build utilizes an alder body with a fast, thin, and comfortable maple neck, featuring a 25.5-inch scale and a set-thru full access joint. The ebony fingerboard is equipped with 24 stainless steel super-jumbo frets and Luminlay side dots that glow in the dark to assist with stage navigation. Tone is captured by a pair of active Fishman Fluence Modern humbuckers that deliver a pure, musical, and pure sound. Tuning stability and hardware precision are managed by Solar 18:1 locking tuners and a locking nut, while the Gotoh GE1996T tremolo bridge—outfitted with a 33 mm long and 12 mm thick brass block—enhances resonance and sustain, aided by mechanically muted tremolo springs. Finished in carbon black matte, the guitar includes a three-way blade switch and a single volume knob that functions as a push/pull control for toggling between voices. Please note that the 9V battery required for the electronics is not included.
