The new Type VAR Asymmetrical V stands as the ultimate metal machine, blending aggressive aesthetics with premium craftsmanship. By marrying the radical, extreme angles seen in the Type X series with a unique Reverse-Reverse 6 in-line headstock, we have engineered the most striking V-style guitar available. As a standout in our most ferocious lineup of V models, the Type VAR1.6FRGN delivers a stealthy, distinct appearance coupled with a professional-grade feature set designed for demanding studio sessions and live performances alike.

This instrument achieves exceptional resonance and sustain through a hardened steel Floyd Rose 1000 tremolo system equipped with an oversized block, while the tremolo springs are kept entirely silent through mechanical muting. Versatility is at the heart of the experience, as the Duncan Solar pickups deliver a broad range of tones—from natural, crisp cleans to intense, heavy overdrive—all while maintaining maximum clarity and fluid sustain. Built for speed and accessibility, the guitar utilizes a set-thru neck-to-body joint and a 25.5-inch scale length. The construction features a mahogany body paired with a thin, comfortable, and fast maple neck, topped with an ebony fingerboard. Musicians will appreciate the 24 super-jumbo stainless steel frets and the Luminlay glow-in-the-dark side dots that ensure effortless navigation on dark stages.

Precise tuning is guaranteed by a locking nut and Solar 18:1 locking tuners, while the electronics configuration includes a three-way toggle switch for quick tonal adjustments. With a design that allows for full access to the upper frets, this guitar is finished in a vibrant green neon matte and arrives complete with a dedicated Solar Type VAR hardshell case.
